Saving on storage this summer

Storage is one of those costs that quietly inflates over time. Here's what we've seen renters do to keep it down:
- Bundle and consolidate — most people pay for 30–50% empty space. Compact what you have first.
- Choose neighborhood storage over corporate facilities — peer-to-peer listings on AirSelfStorage are typically 30–50% cheaper.
- Negotiate longer terms — many hosts offer 10–20% off for 6+ month bookings.
- Drop the climate control if you don't need it — outdoor or unconditioned spaces are much cheaper, and most stuff doesn't need climate control.
- Review your contents annually — if you haven't touched it in two years, you probably don't need to keep paying to store it.
